TIMELINE
1985 - 86 –Franco grew up in the textile industry and in a textile town (Prato) starting in 1985-86, Franco focused on yarns and fibers in Prato (Italy) and with Sildorex in Paris (France) one of the leading producers of Lurex yarns.
1987 – Started the agency, Nannucci Rappresentanze Sas, with his father, Cesare Nannucci (yarn agency).
1990 - started Tricot Selection Sas with Franz Schaub, design studio and buying office, specialized in ladies and men knitwear and accessories.
1995 - joined Vellutex Export Srl, upholstery velvet weaver, worked with Laura Mengoni to enlarge the international business, opening new markets in Europe, Middle East, North America, Australia as well as New Zealand.
2000 - joined Mario Sirtori Spa, leading producer of upholstery fabrics, as director of international sales.
2002 - moved to Greensboro NC USA
2003 - Textile Field USA LLC was established (Sales Agency)
2007 - 2009 - moved to Casablanca Morocco as PDG (President Directeur General) of both NESK Investment and Real Blanca, part of Al Jedaie Group, to manage and reorganize the franchise store business and the development of Morocco Mall - www.moroccomall.ma
2010 – 2011 -Returned back to Greensboro NC USA and started partnership with Arredare SL based in Barcelona, Spain, as international agency for home and hospitality/contract fabrics. Portofolio of mills grew to include some of the most mportant textile mills out of Italy, Turkey, India and the UK, with Bimitex, KETS, DCM, MOBUS and Eatern Silk.
2018 – Textile Field USA and Arredare SL, amicably split the North American and European territories.
2019- Matthew Cohen joined Textile Field, working together with Franco to enlarge the sales and operation of Textile Field USA.
2020- While Covid-19 and the worldwide pandemic spread around the world, Textile Field USA, used its’ resources and international contacts to import PPE to North Carolina and became one of the first to be able to supply local schools, hospitals and healthcare facilities with much needed supplies.
2020- Gisele De La Rosa joined the Textile Field USA team as office manager and financial coordinator.
2022- Textile Field USA launched their new warehousing service to hold textile stock in Greensboro, NC. This was a collaboration with Mobus Fabrics (UK) and Aquaclean Fabrics (Spain), who created their own US based subsidiaries, which allowed them to provide stock service to their USA customer base, with landed duty paid product. Servicing jobbers, wholesalers and manufacturers.
2023- Nick Pines joined the team as the furniture manufacturer sales rep for North Carolina, representing the Mobus and Aquaclean collections.
